I chopped an old telephone cable in half and soldered the capacitors in place with alligator clips for the power and resistor as I was not sure which values I would need, the resistor could be soldered in place now that I know it works with my modem. I am just clamping on to the 12VDC panel power supply for power but you could use a 12V battery or wallwart.
