If on the other hand, you are looking for a VNC solution. Most are detected by AV scanners as malware due to thier nature and some are insecure. Be careful with VNC products. Because the Remote Desktop on the other Computer is not enabled. If they are behind a router or firewall though, this will complicate matters, in which case, VNC or even better LogMeIN are better alternatives.

You cant really blame WHS for not supporting something that isnt there to begin with. Also, their argument is that if that is a feature you want, then buy the version that has it. If you wanted the Media Center features of Vista you would buy a version of Vista that has it, not one that doesnt and then expect them to add it to that version.

You would think, at some level, they would be able to talk to understand and solve this - I know that the WHS have tried to get the Vista team to do something about this, but at the end of the day the decision does rest with the Vista team.

If they want to do it, they will. But their answer is along the lines of "if you want that feature, buy the product that actually has it". Personally I would love that, but at the moment that isnt the case and we are all stuck with whatever limitations we have with whatever versions of software we are using.

That being said, dont give up! Keep applying pressure, but focus that pressure where it will actually do the most good - the Vista team!
