Pro tools keeps freezing

Thank you all for your patience. All should be back to normal now. We asked Avid to give us a statement to explain what was behind this issue and they told us…. The interruption was due to communication with monitoring servers that had unexpected behaviour. The issue was solved quickly once understood.

During the early stages of this issue, there were some suggestions that iLok was causing it so we reached out to PACE, the makers of iLok, and although PACE software was not the cause, they were also having problems over the weekend. Pro Tools It either freezes when loading plug ins most commonly freezes on VariFI or it freezes when I am attempting to open a new project. I have upgraded all the necessary upgrades. For the past couple days I had it working perfectly fine? I un-installed the program and re-install it reading all the instructions carefully. And randomly today it decided to start freezing on the new Pro Tools aaxplugin's..

I deleted the first one to see if it was just a bad plugin but while reopening it it froze on the next available aaxplugin.. I don't know if it is my computer or the software itself..

I've cleared my computer completely before installing the program so this shouldn't be the problem.. I am running Mac OS X I may have discovered the problem? I set up my daisy chain properly using steps from the presonus website and various tutorials on the web However, as an experiment I turned my one Firepod's off and changed from the aggregate device the one powered Firepod.

Mine hangs up on Varifi. But I have Windows 7. So, what do I do now? It used to run perfectly but recently it wont start up anymore. It freezes when loading up VariFi. Any ideas? I reinstalled PT but this does not fix anything. If you have disabled this for any reason, it is often recommended to re-enable it. Open the Start menu and type "cmd" without the quotations.
